Dollar Dollar Bill Y’all

Well, I finally went and did it. For those who don’t know, in June 2001, I started driving a 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. When I got it, the car had about 42,000 miles it. Ninety-thousand miles later….I traded it in for a lease on a 2006 Nissan Altima.

Overall, I’m very impressed with the car. I also test drove the 2007 Ford Fusion and 2007 Chevrolet Malibu. Overall, I felt the Altima was roomier, quieter, and offered better options than the Fusion or Malibu. The price difference was negligible, with the Altima actually being cheaper than the Malibu. I still have to do some organizing for the compartments and the stuff in the trunk…let’s just say I had too much junk and crap to transfer to the new car from the Monte Carlo.

Also, I ordered subscriptions to The Wall Street Journal and The Economist. A little expensive, but worth it. I would definately recommend getting these. The online version of the WSJ is great….all the articles available in the print edition and there are plenty of online extras. There’s also a bunch of industry and company monitoring tools to make sure you don’t miss anything on a topic you want to know about.
