I PASSED THE AUDIT PORTION OF THE CPA EXAM!!!

So, I only have one portion left to take, and that is the Financial Accounting and Reporting section. Granted, it’s the hardest section. But after getting a big lift from passing three out of four my first time, I think I can manage :-)

Hmmm…what else? Work is beginning to become a little more bearable, and I’m even thinking that it might be a good idea to stick around longer than I was planning to. The company treats it’s people pretty well, and the actual work I’m doing is becoming more interesting.

The company party was quite fun. We ended up hanging around there till about 11:00, and then we decided to head to the bar. Because we lost Zack, it ended up being myself and three girls going to the club!

Sarah, one of the girls in the bar group, wasn’t even going to come to the company party. She works in the same area of my company as I do, so I convinced her that it would be fun. She was all worried about not having a date and such, but ended up going anyway. At the club, the other two girls readily found guys to take advantage of (buy them drinks), so I didn’t have to monitor them so much.

Lindsey and Kelly (the other two girls) were all about dancing with their new “friends”. So, Sarah and I thought we should join them. A good time was had by all. And now Sarah and I are hanging out on Tuesday of next week.

As for the rest of life, it’s progressing. I need to study more (like always) for the CPA exam, but overall it’s good. I’m starting to be more social, and that can only mean good things.

Shaun and I will be going to the bar on New Year’s, and we are also going to the bar tomorrow. Tomorrow night will be different though, since Pat and Chris will be there. Hence, there will be much drunkeness tomorrow night. Shaun was all about trying to get some girls, but I don’t think I’m going to be much help with that…..

This weekend and next will be taken up by holiday parties with the company. This weekend is one just with my work group, while next weekend is the firm wide one. I’m think both will be a good time. Not going with anyone to the party this Saturday, but Kelly is accompanying me to the one next Saturday.

I’m not sure how much fun the big firm-wide party is going to be last weekend. Last year I had a great time, but that was mostly due to the girl I had taken. Alas, it ended up she likes to mess with guys heads and play games, so that turned out badly a few months later. Such is life….I’m sure I’ll still have a good time at this year’s party regardless.

Other than that, not much else going on. Work is a bore, and I’m not getting a whole lot done. I don’t know exactly what is expected of me, so that makes it pretty difficult. On a brighter note about job things, I’m begining to make some friends at work. Finding people to go out with is a bit easier now…which is positive.

To top it off…I’m finally getting to play racquetball on a semi-regular basis now. It’s even looking like tournaments are going to be a possibility, with several coming up in January, February, and March.

All in all, life is getting back on track. It was a rough time the past few months, but I finally see a light at the end of a long, dark tunnel.
