Well, I had this presentation today at work, and I guess it went pretty well. I don’t know if the people listening learned anything, but I covered what needed to be covered.
Bascially, these people are going to be “Laptop Mentors,” and help acclimate incoming freshmen to the WMU computing environment. Things like registering network cards, laptop security, and username/password issues. It seemed like nearly everyone in the room knew what I was talking about already, but it never hurts to go over it again.
Last year, another person did the presentation, and it took all day long. I covered it in about 2 hours. And I don’t think I missed covering anything that he did. Granted, we did not perform the anti-virus software demo, but that only takes 10 minutes.
I could just imagine sitting in their places, listening to me talk about ipconfig and installing printers. I’d lose my farking mind.
Aside from that, today was pretty normal. I got up at the crack of dawn, so I’m really tired now. But, I had to get ready for my stellar presentation. It’s gonna be an early night for joe.
And just to make you guys happy, here’s a cool link for this entry.
